With two separate side panels that close with a concealed button placket in the back and stylish wooden buttons in the front, there are almost no limits to your color combinations! A relatively short cut, crenellated cuffs, like our mi-parti Gugel "Dangereuse" and the wide sleeves allow sufficient freedom of movement. Due to the modularity, the colors can of course be changed regularly, if you are in groups with different colors.

The French term "surcote," which can be translated as "over the dress," perfectly describes the character of the garment, which can already be found in the 12th century: As the top layer of fabric, with plenty of heraldry and decorative elements, it serves to clearly distinguish friend from foe in the thick of battle! Our Surcoat "Aleran" is made of a heavy woolen fabric, which withstands the rigors of the outermost layer of clothing well and with its bright colors, contrasting color combinations expressively in scene.
